Vacation may be over, but you can still get a taste of summer on Friday, August 16th, with Snowie’s shaved ice and slushies! Their snow mobile will be parked on campus after school.

The Sequoia Middle School Parent Faculty Club welcomes new and returning families to the 2024 – 2025 school year! The PFC needs your help and generosity to continue supporting our students and teachers. We rely on donations from the SMS community to fund student programs like Homework Club and the Renaissance Program for Academic Achievement, as well as department and teacher grants.
With just a dollar a day, you can help fully fund our PFC!
By donating $180, a dollar for each instructional day of the school year, you can support the success of our students. Visit our donations page to learn about payment options and decide which one works for you. You’ll feel good knowing you’re making a difference with a dollar a day, everyday!

The Read-a-thon starts Monday, April 29th and runs through through Sunday, May 5th!
Pledge forms will be distributed by core teachers and are available below. Students should solicit pledges (by time or flat donation) and record their minutes read. Forms and collected pledges must be returned to core teachers by May 10th. Credit/debit card payment is preferred.
There will be prizes for each grade based on most minutes read and most money raised!
Below is a copy of the letter sent out to all 8th grade families. It includes the order form for class t-shirts, as well as permission slips for the party and picnic. You can even reserve premium seats for a fee!

Apples with an assortment of toppings for a sweet treat to end the week!
The weather may be getting warmer, but there’s snow in the forecast for Wednesday, March 27th! Come chill out at the Snowie East Bay bus and savor their unique flavors of shaved ice from 1 to 3 pm. A portion of your purchase will be donated to the PFC!

Wednesday, March 20th from 4 to 9 pm The Habit Grill at 1110 Concord Avenue in Suite 10 will donate 20% of fundraiser sales to the PFC! You can order online, in the app, or at a restaurant kiosk using code GIVEBACK at checkout, or simply show this flyer to the cashier.
Caution: getting good food for a good cause may be “Habit” forming!

Students from Valley View, Sequoia and Pleasant Hill Middle Schools are invited to participate in a one-day basketball tournament on April 20, 2024! The tournament starts at 9 am, with the Championship game expected to be played at approximately 3 pm.
It will take place at Pleasant Hill Middle School, and is sponsored by the PHMS PTSA, but is for all students enrolled in a Pleasant Hill Middle School. Students are encouraged to create their own school-based teams of five, however, students without a team will be assigned to one when possible. Please note that space is limited.
